What we do

Land Prepared. Sites Ready.

At Coastal Clearing & Debris, we take lots the way we find them: wooded, overgrown, or with a structure on it that needs to come down and get hauled off. Land clearing, site prep, demolition, grading, driveways, excavation, bush-hogging and hauling. Whatever stands between the lot as it is and what you’re trying to do with it, we’ll get it out of your way.

Clearing & Prep

Trees, stumps, undergrowth and roots out. Building pads shaped, tracked and left level so the next crew can lay out on it. Selective clearing too, if you want the good trees left standing.

Excavator taking a two-story coastal home down to the pilings

Demolition

Houses, mobile homes, sheds, slabs and pilings. Torn down, separated, loaded out and hauled off — the lot handed back clean rather than full of somebody else’s mess.

Grading

Yards, pads and drives brought to grade and pitched to move water where it should go. Coastal lots are flat and sandy. Where the water goes is decided here.

Gravel Driveways

New drives cut in, base shaped, stone laid and rolled. Existing drives regraded, potholes repaired, like brand new.

Excavation

Footings, ditches, drainage, ponds, stump holes and general dirt work. If it needs to come out of the ground or go back in it, the excavator handles it.

Excavator clearing heavy undergrowth on an overgrown lot

Bush-Hogging

Overgrown lots, fence lines, ditch banks and fields knocked back down to something you can walk on and work with. A good first step when nobody’s touched it in a few seasons.

Hauling & Trucking

Topsoil, dirt, rock, stone and debris hauled in or hauled off. Either way, we get it where it needs to go.

Why the lot comes first

Nothing else starts until the ground is right

Every new house, shop and slab begins the same way: somebody has to take the trees or pre-existing structures off it and make it flat. Get that part wrong and the mistake stays in the ground: water in the crawlspace, a drive that washes out every storm, a pad that settles under the corner of a foundation.

Brunswick County is not slowing down, which means a lot of ground is getting cleared by whoever can get there soonest. That is the part worth being careful about.

1.4 million gallons

What an average year of rain drops on a single acre in Brunswick County, close to 54 inches of it. All of that water has to go somewhere. Where it goes is decided when the ground is shaped, not after the house is sitting on it.

The finish matters

Handed back ready, not just emptied

There is a difference between a lot that has been cleared and a lot that is ready. Ready means the debris is gone rather than pushed to the back corner, the pad drains, and the surveyor, the concrete crew or the home setter can get to work the day they show up.
